New Delhi | Mann Ki Baat – Episode 131

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 131st episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, where he spoke about Artificial Intelligence (AI), India’s growing global role in technology, and rising cybercrime threats such as digital arrest scams.

During his address, PM Modi referred to the AI Summit held in New Delhi, calling it the largest AI summit ever hosted in modern India. He said the summit witnessed participation from global delegates who closely observed India’s rapidly advancing AI capabilities.

The Prime Minister highlighted that international guests were especially impressed by how India is using AI technology to preserve ancient manuscripts, classical texts, and historical heritage. He added that the summit helped the world better understand India’s innovation capacity in the AI sector.

PM Modi also announced that three “Made in India” AI models were launched during the summit, marking a major milestone for the country’s technology ecosystem. He congratulated citizens for the successful organization of the summit and called it a proud moment for India.

Warning on Digital Arrest and Cyber Fraud

While speaking on cybersecurity, PM Modi again warned citizens about the growing threat of “digital arrest” scams and online frauds. He said that although awareness has increased after earlier discussions, such incidents are still taking place.

He urged people to remain cautious during KYC (Know Your Customer) processes and reminded citizens that legitimate authorities never threaten arrest or demand money over phone calls, video calls, or messages.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of digital awareness, verification through official channels, and responsible use of technology to protect oneself from cybercrime.
